TechTrees — Restoring Hope the web 3.0 way

Since 1990, 420 million hectares of forest have been lost as a result of human activity including land clearing for agricultural farming and logging. As of 2020, forest cover accounts for about 31% of the world’s total land area. Though the rate of deforestation has decreased over the past three decades, we’re losing thousands of hectares more with every passing day.

We lose over 10 million hectares of forests every single year which contributes to about 4.8 billion tonnes of Carbon dioxide emissions which is roughly 10% of human emissions. Every single minute 420 trees are being cut, whereas only 60 trees are being planted. This is a serious issue and this was the reason TechTrees was born.

TechTrees is inspired by Elon Musk’s vision for a sustainable future. TechTrees aim is to motivate people to plant trees using the web 3.0 and blockchain technology, in return for rewards being sent out for every tree planted.

TechTrees was founded in Q2, 2022 with a mission to reduce carbon emissions and to promote a green and a sustainable lifestyle. TechTrees is developing a Plant-to-earn game where users will earn rewards by planting trees, in return to every tree planted in the game, TechTrees team will plant a tree in the real world. Our website will have a carbon footprint calculator, where the users can calculate their carbon footprint and buy tree saplings to neutralize the same.

TechTrees also aims to sell carbon credits to companies as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to neutralize their carbon footprint, in return to this the companies receive the NFT certificate for their trees planted.

TechTrees is already a proud member of the NAS.io platform, One Tree Planted, Act4SDGs, many local chapters of schools associations in India.
